I don't think I ever posted this, but it was from that show in Rome, back in October.

I'm starting to get into doing drawings as compliments to the paintings I make -- I also find that the changes I tend to make on paper (such as more line work and flat shape) are leaking into my painting style...

I think black & white has a special elegance, and ink & graphite or charcoal puts you in a league with some current greats like Longo. His work is monumental, but personally, I prefer work on a more intimate scale, on a scale that can hang on a wall in a home mere mortals tend to live in. Did I mention this was beautiful?

Beautiful, as usual. It is strange however, to see you work without color. Do you find it harder to complete the total image you want to portray?
