I was trying to focus on more the emotion rather than a theme with this painting. Kind of that dark side of love when one person takes the abuse of another out of compassion.

The fish seems to be so -heavy- in her hands... and his little fishy face is conveying so much emotion, even though he only has those tiny black eyes. The mood of the painting is so tangible, it's really expressive! Beautiful.

Stunning--the colors, the shading, the composition... I love how her skin looks, and the way the blue and orange peer out of that darkness.
