This is a very odd piece. On one hand I find it very artistic and it seems to have a story in it, on the other hand I dislike it because of the colours, the shapes, it's grating on the brain.

The elevator combined with the images on the walls bring me to think the girl is trying to stay in her own, enclosed space in which she feels safe. But from her expression and tears it's obvious she doesn't feel safe. As though her world has been infiltrated. The pink hair could represent happiness, tying in the the title as in happiness then depression, or disguise, as though trying to escape all invasions of her world.

Beautiful piece, Sarah.

You're an avid A Perfect Circle listener.
I'd be willing to bet that this has something to do with the song, "Gravity".
I'm not too keen on the colors in this, but I like the idea. :]

Very nice. I like the way that the cotton candy colored hair pops on the blue- combined with the dream-like drawings on the walls, it really gives the feeling of a fantasy coming crashing down. The perspective of the room seems a little wonky, but overall, great piece.

I like the play with patterns...cool warm cool (on the walls, on the figure) & the attention to detail...the "down" button is definitely illuminated. I cant quite make out the space she's in...but drawings on the wall...makes me think of how certain situations & feelings can make us all feel like we've been reduced to children. Some folks don't seem to like the color- but she's definitely got the blues.

I love that she seems to be touching her ring finger, as if it's missing something that was once there. Like an promise/engagement ring or a wedding band. I doubt that was the goal here, but it gives me an entirely new reason to love the painting.
