I created this little guy for my time-based media course last year on the subject of 'kinetic sculpture' - the idea being our scultpure must change in some way.

My idea for the project was to create a man of the city using the most common city material around - garbage. I made him out of paper mache, using the logos and newspapers I found on the street. To make him kinetic, I decide to plant him in the middle of the shooping centre of Toronto and let the environment that he was based upon take him as it would... almost immediately (and caught on tape) The Corporate Man was kicked around by a bunch of hoodlum kids, and then snatched up by a crazy bag lady who preceeded to take him on the the bus and go home....

I never saw my Corporate Man again, but his legacy will live on in my heart. He took one for the team. *snif*

Heh, I like the story of how he was lost to you - it's very fitting :)

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.
That's a very interesting story.
This looks kind of cool:)
that's very creative! i love the look of this little corporate man.
I wonder to... I think she may have just kept him as a friend because I was watching her for a few mintues before she got onto the bus and she was smiling ear to ear, showing him off to some strangers while having a smoke...

It was pretty damn funny, lol.
Hehe, I was going to put up wanted posters for him around the city, but didn't...
I was also thinking about doing a series of corporate men and plant them around Toronto, but didn't...

Oh well. I have a strong belief he's still out there.
if you find the bag lady ask her to do the amelie-gnome thing
