A more experimental piece ~ as I still go through moments where I need to break from my typical style...

The saying "tip of the Iceberg" refers to the small percentage of an iceberg which actually floats above the surface of the water, where close to 80% of it can remain below. I always loved the saying since it can be related to so much more -- the small things we take for granted and the ignorance to assume they won't eventually make a bigger impact.

20x30", acrylic on canvas

i really like the odd contrasts between the small white bits around the hair an the leaves, they break up the pictures softness in a really interesting way

Very beautiful. I fell for the hair, I've painted some with acrylic and I think it's terrifyingly difficult.

I really like the composition and colors in this one, even though many elements strike me as odd. The "vectorish" hair just feels weird in such a softly shaded painting and for some reason I'm not so keen on the tree arm. The face is excellent, full of expression.

I love the flat hair against the textures of the rest of it. Lovely colours too--definitely one of my favourites in your gallery.

I especially love the skin tones in this new piece and the lack of dimension in the hair. I think the composition is woderfull and the colors are very soothing. The only thing that doesnt seem to flow like the rest of the image is the transition from the arm to the tree, just seeing all your previous pieces it seems like you could have pushed that a little farther. But wonderful image as usuall
