Artist's Comments

Sometimes I get paranoid that I listen to music too often, like Horror Vacui to my ears… It almost becomes a way of avoiding social scenarios, or hiding under the radar, which kind of relates to being caught in your own undertow.

Great piece, I love to see your new work ;)

I've never had this feeling because I don't listen much to music with headphones, but when I do so in the streets, I often think of a movie... Background music for a more narrative everyday life? :)

Your metaphors are excellent. Your works are the most expressive I have seen on here. Very good

I very much agree with what you said, and this image is a perfect representation of that.

Too much music? Is that possible? As artists, why not create our personal soundtracks as we're creating? I've always seen music as a way of controlling my environment so real life sh...uh...stuff doesn't intrude & distract me. That's what answering machines are for...anyway, you present an interesting dilemma...solitude or social...I think Sartre wrote a short story about an artist who discovers that in order to sell his work he has to be more social. It works, but then that social element wants more of his attention, & the artwork doesn't get done. He ends up insane in his studio. Those silly existentialists.

Hehe ;)
As a matter of fact, I think that hearing music distorts reality ;) I prefer facing it, because I often notice interesting things that would be lost otherwise.

wow i love this.... i think music is much important for us. every time i'm drawing i listen something helps me to travel with my head, to leave me to go anywere. it's true that often we isolate ourselves with it. but also it was, why not?
