"Western eyes and serpent's Breath"

Though at a glance, the girl may appear to be only some anonymous punk rocker, each adorning layer and object represents something more significant to me… I see her as portrait of western culture and politics – specifically the relationship between cannibal culture (adopting other culture as your own), pop culture (mainstream culture) and cultural imperialism (forcing culture upon another).
