Reluctantly, Back in Action ~

Wed Jan 16, 2008, 8:08 PM
Why hello there ^__^

First off, I want to thank everyone for their comments and good wishes towards my leaving for Los Angeles! The trip was just awesome ~ beyond all my expectations and anxiety! Which tends to be the case in most scenarios : P

The show went wonderfully as well. A turn out of about 500 people, and I was actually able to maintain my composure, haha. Usually I get so nervous or shy that it doesn't take long for me to become overwhelmed... But, everyone was very welcoming and comforting -- definitely made me a little sad to leave, especially with a new school semester on the rise *sigh*

Slowly I'm releasing all my new paintings on here, but one at a time (so each gets the opportunity to be seen on the main page). So, look out for a new work daily : D
I also posted some photos on my art blog from the show/trip, which can be seen here --> [link] . In the next week, I'll also update a few progress and detail images too.

Well, looks like it's back to work with more than I bargained for... I'm always bashing OCAD for being so easy (and just about anything else), but it seems my next few courses are really going to be snapping the whip. 'Tis the nature of gravity ; P

Oh, you have! Well the folks there are super nice, beyond super nice. If you haven't already you should go for their portfolio evaluations on Thursdays as well -- they always give great advice.

But ya, good luck! Glad you like my blog too -- I find it to be a little pain in the arse, but still a venue of much opportunity ; D

yah as long as one find time to update it... it can be so much fun reading blogs if ppl actually have time writing..... :) I live in Sweden so going there to be on portfolio evalutation can be hard for me ^^; or well, expensive at least.... but I'll email them and see what will happen, they seem sweet :)

the show pics on the blog were great- seemed like a very open & fun kind of opening...around here they tend to be a little, um, serious. Art's serious, dammit :tombstone: As for school- it sucks when you're cruising- you feel like you're wasting time and money, but when it's hard: if it's hard in that challenged but feel like you're learning way, it's cool, but if it's hard in that do I really need to memorize the chemical formula of snot? kind of way- then it's pure suffering, so, good luck. Can't wait to see the new stuff!
